Combining exercise, fun, and charity – Cycling Day on September 17th
For the 15th annual DRA Cycling Day, we’re switching things around a bit and organizing our bike ride “virtually” across Finland. Exercise is good for everyone, and we’re not going to let COVID-19 cancel a tradition as important as this one.
From the very beginning, Cycling Day has been about encouraging people to exercise, to strengthen team spirit, and to support a charity for every kilometer bicycled. This year we’ve decided to support Finnish cancer research through Cancer Foundation Finland. This charity is very close to our hearts as we ride to honor the memory of a co-worker lost to cancer.
Many are affected by cancer – not only those stricken but their loved ones, too. The only way to beat cancer is through cancer research and improving treatments. Internationally Finland is one of the top countries in cancer research, and we want to do our part in supporting this important work.
Cycling Day combines exercise, fun, and charity in a great way, and we want to encourage others to organize their own events to support a worthy cause.
